Alysia has a natural curiosity to understand individuals. That curiosity is coupled with a desire to give people comfort and guidance as they move through their financial and lifestyle journeys.

Her own professional journey as a Financial Planner started in 2001 and continues on that path today. Along the way she worked with two of Australia’s largest Financial Institutions where her professional knowledge continued to grow, as did her passion and capabilities to advise and guide her clients.

In a profession that sees constant change, Alysia felt the need to move in a new direction to enable her to better meet the varied and ever changing needs of her clients. This has led Alysia to establish her own advice business, Zebra Tailored Wealth, where she is able to provide tailored solutions that better meet the unique needs of each and every client.

Whilst the passion and curiosity mentioned above are key components of a good financial planning relationship, professional academic qualifications are essential. Alysia holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australia National University, an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning, and has attained the designation of Certified Financial Planner as well as passing all the FASEA requirements.

Alysia helps many retirees and pre-retirees set themselves up for a comfortable retirement free of financial stress. Her passion is helping women and young families get control of their financial situation with holistic advice across all areas of their financial world. Many of her clients have a firm ethical stance and have a desire to invest their funds in line with their values for a brighter future.

A strong interest in finance coupled with a desire to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives is what motivated me to join the financial planning industry over 16 years ago. My experience working with one of Australia’s largest financial institutions helped me to develop into a highly capable adviser with an extensive range of skills and knowledge. For me, the best part is being able to navigate my clients through a world that is becoming increasingly more complex and uncertain every day.

I have recently completed my Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning and have now achieved the FASEA educational requirements. I hold a Bachelor of Business from Western Sydney University and various accreditations in specialist advice areas such as Aged Care, Gearing & Self-Managed Superannuation.

My passion is to support Australians to accumulate wealth and maximise the benefit of that as you move through to retirement. By taking a collaborative approach, I work with you and help to tailor a plan towards your financial and lifestyle goals. I aim to build long lasting client relationships and to help people make good financial decisions. By working in partnership together, you’ll feel confident your future is in capable hands.

Away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife Michelle and our 3 boys, experiencing what the outdoors has to offer. Whether that’s spending time at the beach, exploring parts of Australia in our caravan or being part of the local community rugby scene.

Financial Planner

I feel incredibly fortunate to have a career which allows me to combine my interest in investments and wealth management, with the enjoyment I get from working closely with a group of clients where I can add real value to their life.

For almost seventeen years I have developed a broad range of skills while working as an adviser with one of Australia’s largest financial institutions. For the last seven years I was fortunate enough to work as a Senior Wealth Adviser within the private banking division where I provided a highly personalised strategic advice and investment management service to a group of the largest and sometimes most financially complex clients of the bank.

In 2022, I decided that in order to work the way I wanted to into the future, that I needed to move away from a corporate environment. I wanted to be able focus on providing the highly personalised and tailored service of a small company with the backing and investment research and support of a large organisation. In October 2022 I decided to join two advisers that I have known for a long time that I know share my values, focus on service, and passion which is why I chose to work with Alysia and Scott under Zebra Tailored Wealth.

My role involves me looking after individuals and families where I develop a strong understanding of their current situation, future goals, priorities, concerns and values. I add value by putting structure to their financial affairs, monitoring what needs to be done and by when. I keep track of legislative changes that either impact what they do or may create opportunities for them to do things differently. I help my clients understand their finances so that they can make better decisions. As a trusted adviser and facilitator for my client’s financial matters I save them time and worry while giving them confidence that their future is in safe hands.

Outside of work, I live in the Northern Beaches of Sydney with my wife Teri and our Cavoodle. We love spending our time outdoors and I particularly enjoy cycling, mountain biking, and swimming.
